My name is Luke Wilburn and I am a senior at Giles High School. I have lived in Giles County my entire life. I love hunting, fishing, and sports. I have two sisters who were also GHS graduates.

One of my most memorable moments at GHS was playing football, which is one of my favorite sports. Unfortunately, I was diagnosed with Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy at an early age and had to quit playing football. Ever since I was a young child, I wanted to go into the military after graduation and with being diagnosed with HCM, that isn’t possible. I decided to learn a trade and enrolled in the Welding program and Giles TechCenter.

I hope my fellow graduates will stay on track, work hard, and pursue their dreams. Life sometimes takes us down a different path than we had planned, but it’s important to make the most of it. Stay close to God and know that things are in his hands.
