I would like to start my statement by telling you all about myself. My name is Cassidy Raines and I am a senior during the COVID-19 pandemic. I’m 18 years old and I volunteer in the EMS field. I plan to continue my education after high school in nursing. This fall, I hope to start my LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) journey. After earning my LPN, I hope to continue to get my RN (Registered Nurse) or possibly study to become a paramedic.
Though my memories of GHS are good and bad, I really enjoyed my time here. I got to experience many classes such as agriculture and art. One of my best memories was enjoying my time in the Ag Lab with the cows. In art we got to work on really fun projects showing the skills we learned. All of the teachers at GHS really showed their support for all of the seniors while they excelled in school.
Finally, the people, places, and things that I’m grateful for are many. Some of the people that I’m truly grateful for are my wonderful teachers, principal, my family, my rescue family, my best friends, and my boyfriend. Without them, I would not have made it through the last little bit of my junior year and my entire senior year.
They have supported me with all my assignments and just helped me keep my head straight with the out-of-the-ordinary school year. And luckily for me, with their unconditional support, I’ll get to walk the stage on June 5.
