My name is Paiton Bradley and I am currently a senior attending Giles High School. I have attended Giles High School since 8th grade and I am going to graduate in a few weeks. For my senior year, I have attended virtual school and I think it has been a unique experience. In the future, I think it will be interesting to tell younger students about being a senior during a pandemic. I wouldn’t say that the pandemic has ruined my senior year but it definitely has given me a new experience for school.
During my time at Giles High School, I have greatly enjoyed taking art classes. I’ve taken every art class that Giles has to offer. Ms. Green has always been one of my favorite teachers and I have had her almost every year as a teacher since 8th grade. Every year I would always look forward to art class the most.
I have participated in track and cross country every year since middle school. Many of my favorite high school memories have been made during track and cross country. I earned my letterman's jacket in ninth grade after my regionals meet in cross country. During my sophomore year, I qualified for state for throwing the discus. I hope by the end of track season this year I can qualify again for state for throwing the discus. During my time at Giles, Mr. Munsey, Mr. Wright, and Mrs. Riley have been the most encouraging coaches I have ever had. My coaches have always kept me motivated to try hard and do the best I can.
In conclusion, my time at Giles feels like it flew by so fast. I have made many great memories and I will be happy to look back on them one day. I hope to become a paramedic after high school and help people. I am grateful for all that I have learned at Giles High School.
