Van Travel Lifestyle

One thing I have always been interested in is building a livable camper van in order to travel the country. Many people have chosen this lifestyle to see destinations and wake up in a new place every day. There are many trade-offs to this lifestyle that I will discuss in my blog.

When thinking in terms of traveling in a van or staying in hotels, it's my opinion that the van is much more convenient. You also have to sacrifice some hygiene, depending on the setup of your van due to the problem of having limited clean and hot water. The major plus side is that you never have to spend money on hotels and you can always sleep wherever you can park the van.

Two of my hobbies are mountain biking and snowboarding, both of which are made easier with a van. The ability to store all your gear and have a dependable place to sleep away from the elements is a major advantage. With a van, you can travel to many biking destinations such as Pisgah National Forest in North Carolina (I am tripping down there for Spring Break), Moab Utah, and different hot spots for these activities all over the country.
