My senior year has been a mess because of the pandemic. Between my friends and my hobbies and jobs, I've been able to distract myself and stay busy throughout it all. For awhile I was working 45 hours a week on top of school, so that truly made everything worse. My senior year has been full of ups and downs, but it's almost over.
I've picked up a new hobby during COVID that I have come to really enjoy. Mountain biking has been something that keeps me outdoors while staying away from people, and having everything be normal since you are out in the National Forests alone. Over the winter from August to February, I was working 45 hours a week with school and I had almost no free time, except for the weekends after 3 pm. After that, I would usually go snowboarding in West Virginia with my buddies to try to make something out of the week.
Working so much made the crazy year go by so quickly and all of a sudden it's April. It's crazy to me how all my friends and I graduate in a month and we'll be going to colleges or into the workforce. I'm looking forward to spending this summer before college adventuring and living my best life. I plan to take trips across the country, not work as much, and just hang out and have fun until I go back to school in the Fall.
