Did you know that you can clean your dry erase boards with a damp cloth (just water)? Using a spray bottle with water daily to clean the boards will not leave behind a residue that the dry erase cleaners sometimes do. The fumes from the cleaners can sometimes be overbearing. NEVER use ammonia, glass cleaner with ammonia, bleach or other harsh chemicals which will strip the finish from the board.
AC & Open Windows There are times when it gets cold inside the classroom and sometimes we are tempted to open the windows to warm up the room. Doing so damages the HVAC system and causes the unit to wear out quickly. The excess humidity from outside will damage the damper and thermostat. Please, DO NOT open the windows when the AC unit is operating. As we all know, it takes a LONG time for the parts to arrive when the HVAC system is in need of repair. Wearing a sweater is a much better option! Thank you.
ITEMS TO CONSIDER
Good news! We are in the process of purchasing a Quizizz premium plan! Very soon we will all have access to the vast library of items. More information will follow. Keep this in mind as you plan for the resources you will use with your classes. PS- it integrates with Schoology as well.

INSTRUCTIONAL RESOURCES WORTH SHARING
In August, I came across videos with data comparisons that may be worth sharing with the students.
Tallest Statue Size: https://youtu.be/YEPJDkZRdJU
Tallest Buildings by Country: https://youtu.be/SaseeK2sFTY
Main page for Real Data Comparisons: https://www.youtube.com/c/RealDatacomparison/videos
Thank you to Christine Lopez-Cassano for sharing this resource. A few items are good for any time of the year.
