Sudoku is one of the purest forms of logical and mathematical reasoning. Variant Sudoku, in particular, introduces unique and sometimes wildly unconventional rules that constrain a puzzle to a single solution—often without any numbers in the grid. I discovered this intriguing challenge through my favorite Sudoku channel, Cracking the Cryptic, which teaches advanced reasoning and logic techniques through these puzzles. Recently, they partnered with Sakana to train AI in more human-like logical thinking, which I find absolutely fascinating as an exercise in logic.
