Building Bright Futures Through Mathematics!
The goal of the ECST Mathematics Department for the 2024-2025 school year is to enhance student performance in the Modeling and Reasoning conceptual categories, as reflected in standardized assessments. This will be achieved by applying innovative strategies developed and refined through professional development sessions and collaborative efforts in professional learning communities.
ACTIONABLE ITEMs
December Common Assessments
Common assessments for Algebra I, Geometry, and all Junior students are now available on IXL for the month of December. Please ensure they are completed as scheduled.
As we walk through all three buildings and engage in conversations with one another, it’s clear that many of us are assigning NJGPA tasks for students to practice independently, followed by scheduling a specific date to assess their performance. To ensure the most effective outcomes, please remember to carefully review and address any common errors after analyzing your item inventories. This step is crucial in helping students strengthen their understanding and skills. For guidance, use the link below to follow our mapping guide: CLICK HERE
Please ensure that our December Common Assessment is completed by December 20, 2024, the final day before winter break. To avoid unnecessary stress or complications, I strongly recommend scheduling the assessment well in advance rather than waiting until the last minute. Thank you for your cooperation!
