We will now read our book for this week - My Friend Tertius. This is a lovely true story, but written about very difficult times. Think about what other books that we have read this year that this might connect with.
Read this poem aloud to a partner with the best expression you can. Then glue it into your poetry book.
You will present the poem you have chosen to the rest of the class.
Identify as many different types of punctuation as you can in the book My Friend Tertius. Discuss why they are important, and what they show us.

Can you improve your draft?
Have a look at some writing about "My Special Place" as written by a Year 3 student. Look at how they improved their first paragraph after they decided to show and not tell what was happening:
improve your writing with better 'wow' words (adjectives and adverbs)
revise your work so it makes sense and shows the reader what is going on
make sure your punctuation is correct so your writing makes sense
Spend 5 minutes practising the time table you are learning for this week.
Move just one glass so that you end up with a row of one glass full, one glass empty, one glass full, one glass empty, one glass full, one glass empty.
Click through the slides below to learn about parallel and perpendicular lines and then watch the video clips.
