Sharing Files From Office 365

Office 365 allows you to share files with staff and/or students in the system as well as individuals outside of CCPS. When you select a file to share and select the SHARE button, take note of how the file is being shared.

This is a screenshot of the Link Sharing settings that appears when selecting a file to share. The settings say: "Who would you like this link to work for?" and has options of "Anyone with the link", "People in Carroll County Public Schools with the link," "People with existing access," and "Specific People." The settings also includes an "Allow Editing" option next to a checkbox that is unchecked and an option to Block download. Finally, there are two buttons: "Apply" and "Cancel".

If you intend to share your document with ONLY specific people that you select, be sure to choose the Specific People option. When selecting the link option: “people in CCPS with the link,” please be aware that this link will work for anyone in the school system that has been sent the link by you (or anyone else who elects to forward the document).
