Solaredge EV Charger - Effective 7/01/24, for new installs, reps can now include an EV Charger for a $500 adder or a $1500 adder for already installed accounts with a energy hub inverter!
No M1 advance/ Milestone Payment - This will be removed for all projects effective 8/01/24 and on. We strongly feel that the more we can align our Sales Partner commissions with how we are funded by our finance partners, the better off and healthier we all are. We wanted to provide a full month runway to make any adjustments as needed to rep pay.
Bright Ops Best Practices:
Duplicate Projects - Duplicate projects continue to be an issue and are common driver of Funding Kickbacks and other issues that will stop a project from progressing. This can cause survey issues along with displaced data and information causing the wrong project to progress.
i.e. - A survey may get scheduled for one project but if a signed contract is attached to the duplicate, there is a lot of clean up that is needed to move the project forward. Even though it is signed, we then have to transfer all the data to the correct project which can add delays, require re-surveys and more.
*For more best practice information, please refer to our "Project Progression Best Practices" page located HERE on our Partner Site.

EverBright and GoodLeap Loans - Effective 7/01/24, Everbright is removing all standard dealer fee loan options from their platform but will keep the 25yr 10.99 0% dealer fee option open. With this, Bright Ops will be removing all standard loans (EverBright and GoodLeap) with the exception of Everbright's 25 year 10.99% 0% dealer fee option. All customer agreements must be signed by midnight on 6/30 to be honored.
Dealer fees have gotten to a point where the loans they are associated with present far too much risk. Given that loans only make up 1% of our business we’ll be discontinuing these options all together for the time being.
EverBright:
EverBright Mobile/Manufactured Homes - Effective 6/15/24, mobile, modular, and manufactured homes will not be eligible for EverBright financing. These types of homes, including those on a permanent foundation, will not be allowed under any circumstances. Any contracts for mobile/modular/manufactured home projects that were not signed by 6/14/24 will be cancelled.
SSN/ITIN Required for Credit Applications - Effective 6/24/24, Social security numbers or individual taxpayer identification numbers (ITIN) will be mandatory for all credit applications to protect homeowners and prevent fraud.
Co-Signers Must Both Be On Title - As part of EverBright's enhanced fraud prevention efforts, they will soon require both co-applicants be on the title for the home. EverBright will not allow a co-signer that is not an owner on the title. There is not a set date for when this policy will take effect, but likely within the next month. More details about this change will be shared soon.
Sunrun:
Users can No Longer Use Generic Email Domains - July 15th is the official deadline to transition from a standard, generic domain (gmail, yahoo, etc) to a business email domain. Requests to change email address can be sent to partnerdev@brightops.com.
IL/ NEM Changes - ComEd is getting more aggressive on the net metering transition and are now requiring PTO applications to be submitted by 12/13/24 to ensure customers are locked in.
