BPS Updates
4th of July Hours - The support desk will be open normal business hours for the holiday! Please note we will have limited staffing and you may experience some delays with proposal times or phone calls.
Sunpower Adder - We are lowering the Sunpower 360/370 Watt adder to $.50/w for all markets and funding sources. This will no longer include the Solaredge extended warranty on loan/cash deals but you can add this for an additional $.10/w
Electrical Upgrade Adders - We continue to see long delays and added costs on projects with MPU's. An MPU can cause 3-6 months delay to PTO depending on the market and are exponentially more expensive than RMA/GMA's. Effective for deals signed July 15 and on, the adder for MPU's will be $2,500. Bright Planet is making a huge push in CA to do more RMA/GMA's in place of MPU's to ensure jobs get installed and PTO'd faster. This is a much lower cost for all and we are able to provide a better customer experience. Here is a reminder of electrical upgrades and associated costs-
RMA (SDG&E) - $1,500
GMA (PG&E) - $1,500
GMA (SCE) - $1,000
MPU - $2,500
Utility Bill and Usage - One of the biggest project delays we continue to see is not getting the utility bill upfront and/or receiving accurate usage. On average, projects where we have the full utility bill and correct usage upfront are installed 9 days faster and the chance of that deal cancelling drastically decreases.
Funding Updates
Sunlight Updated Loan Terms! - Both the Sunlight 10 year and 12 year loan options are going down a full percent to 2.99% interest rate! We were able to get these lowered without making any changes to the dealer fees as they will remain at 13%! This is effective immediately and will apply for all credit applications ran 7/1 or later.
Sunrun and Sunlight Portal Logins - If you or your team need access to Sunrun or Sunlight's portal you can do so my completing the follow form - New User Form
Market Updates
CA Customer Disclosure - CPUC did not meet the 6/30 deadline and are still working through the final details of the disclosure form and process, thus pushing back the rollout date. We expect this to go live sometime during July and will provide updates and direction as we get more information.
PG&E Usage - We now can pull exact kWh usage for PG&E customers at the proposal stage to get a more accurate design and proposal, and want to make this available to all partners selling in PG&E territories. We do need the customer's utility account number which we get if a full utility bill is submitted. If you do not have a bill to submit with the proposal then provide the account number and our team will then call PG&E to pull the usage.
