Next Monday, 9/30/2019, the California Public Utility Commission (CPUC) will be enforcing a new interconnection requirement, the CPUC Consumer Protection Guide. This document will need to be signed by the customer before or same day as the solar agreement, and will be required for funding approval.
It was announced yesterday (9/27/19) that electronic signatures will be accepted! The customer will initial the first four pages and both the customer and rep will sign the last page (pg 23). When calling in to the support desk to send agreements, we will also include this guide for all CA deals. If you are in Sunrun's portal directly and managing the agreements, be sure to include the CPUC Guide as part of the documents sent to the customer-

Along with this new requirement, it is crucial that all reps selling in CA have an active Sunrun login and HIS license. Reps can request their login through the following form - New User Form.
