Videogame Reaction Speed

I am trying to figure out if if gamers have better and reflexes then the people that don't play video games as much. My hypothesis is that gamers will have faster reflexes because you are always moving your fingers and hands. I chose this because on days when I'm with homework and don't have sports, this is what I do in my spare time. I think it is a good idea because there will be times where you will need fast reflexes.

To test people's reflexes, I found a website called "Human benchmark". It can be found at www.humanbenchmark.com I used the reaction time test. What they had to do was wait until a red screen turned green then tap the screw as quickly as they could. They do it five times and I record each trial's time

For the gamers all together I got an average of 515.8 milliseconds. For the non gamers, the average was slightly higher at 650.76 milliseconds.

From my experiment, I learned that game players do have faster reflexes. My hypothesis was correct. I could improve this by testing more people and doing it more times. Also, by analyzing based on gender as well. I could also use a different test, because I think once people got the hang of the test, they were responding quicker
