This is my abstract. Which Sneaker Has The Best Grip Running

I wanted to do this experiment because I love shoes. Sneakers can really make a difference in running. I have heard people complain and sore feet from running long distances. I wanted to find out which of my sneakers have the best grip so my feet do not hurt. I believe the more expensive a sneaker, the better the grip. I believe the Duke Nike Vapor Max will have the best grip because they have more technology in the shoe and it's more expensive., and I believe technology has gotten better. They are the sneakers I prefer to wear when I run.

I used four different pairs of sneakers that I own: Duke Nike Vapormax , Nike Roshe Run, Nike Free Run, and Rordan Eclipse, I used inexpensive sneakers nike free run, mid range sneakers (nike and roshe run, and an expensive pair (duke nike flywire). I used a measuring tool called a spring scale to measure friction in newtons. I tested them on the street. I hooked the spring scale on the shoelace of a shoe and pulled the shoe towards me to see how good the grip is. After each test I wrote the number on a chart. I tested each sneaker three times and found an average.

I completed this for all four sneakers. The cheaper shoes, jordan eclipse, had an average of 1.56N. While the most expensive shoe nike duke flywire had an average of 2.93N. Nike free run had an average of 1.96N. Nike roshe run had an average of 1.66N.

My hypothesis was right because I said The nike duke flywire will have the best grip, and they were 1.4N better that the worst shoe, nike free run. The cost was ($110) compared to the other shoes tested which proves that money does buy you grip. I can improve this experiment by testing the shoes in different places.
