6 Veggie Lights

Problem-Can certain veggies light a bulb?

Hypothesis- The lemon will light it.

Procedure- First i put a potato, tomato, and lemon on a piece of foil. Secondly I put copper in one of them and zinc in the another one. Lastly I put wires around the copper and zinc and connected it to a light bulb Materials-I used copper, zinc, wiring, potato, lemon, tomato, tin foil, voltage meter, C7 light bulb, and LED light bulb.

Abstract-I chose to test if a tomato, a lemon, and potato could light a light bulb and how long. My hypothesis was that lemons would work and be the best because the citrus.

For my results I found none of the food I tested could light a LED light bulb. I got none of them to light an LED light bulb but i also tried a small C7. It couldn’t light the C7.

I learned by this that those veggies can’t light any lights. My hypothesis was a lemon would light a light bulb. My hypothesis was wrong. It was wrong because I may have used the wrong light bulb. I think my problem was the light bulbs and maybe the foods I picked. My variables were the same. I cut the foods for each one and I set it up the same. This project did not work.

Conclusion-Sadly, my project did not work and since it didn’t work my hypothesis was wrong. I tried the project threes times with three different foods. There wasn’t enough voltage to light an LED light bulb or a small C7 light bulb.
