Electrical fruit.
Hello this science experiment is testing can fruit charge a iPad, and if so, what types of fruits charge it the most?
Origin of experiment idea.
The origin of my idea came from an image online where a person charged his/her phone. The photo clearly is fake from the view of a second wire, proving that this photo was a fake. I have uploaded the image to this webpage for you to see the image.
Question?
Can fruit charge an iPad? If so, how many volts does it take? What combination of fruit works best? Does 10 lbs of fruit charge an iPad better than less lbs? How much percentage of battery is charged by the fruit? Does using apps on an iPad affect the voltage.
Hypothesis.
I believe that 10lbs of fruit will charge an iPad the most, and I expect the 10lbs of fruit to charge the iPad by 12%.
Procedure.
I wil first take an iPad charger and cut off the U.S.B plug so the electrical cords are open. Next I will take all my fruit and organize them into five group, 10lbs, 8lbs, 6lbs, 4lbs, and another 4lbs that is a different fruit combination than all other groups. Next I will connect nails into each of the fruit in one group. Next I will connect another nail that is a different metal into each of the fruit in the same group. After that, I will coil a copper wire around each nail, and connect each copper wire onto the exposed wires on the iPad charger. Next I will take the iPad and plug it into the charger. I will then attach a machine that will measure the voltage in the wires. I will repeat for each group of fruit to test, exept for the final test. In the final test, the 4lbs with a different fruit combination, I will record the voltage, then open an application on the iPad. I will test if opening an application will weaken the voltage.
Results
I have found out that I do not have the sufficent amound of supplies to charge an iPad, no enough fruit to even work an electric Motor. I have been able to prove that you can charge an iPad, but it would take much materials and much time. Though I can't charge an iPad with my supplies, it is possible and I can measure what can affect the fruit charging the fruit, including if the fruit is rotten or bruised.
