The aims of my hybrid and international Master of Public Health Project fieldwork (also known as applied practical experience) project is to:
conduct a literature review of how libraries support community health and health literacy
design and conduct a culturally responsive learning needs assessment involving surveys, interviews, focus groups, and observations
identify strategic local partnerships and assets
recommend how the multicultural and multilingual library can build its health collection and program

The aim of my Master of Public Health Project capstone project is to make better the quality improvement assessment processes at the local 80+ implementations of "Reach Out and Read", a national children's literacy initiative that involves healthcare workers providing books and literacy-related guidance to young children before the age of 5 years and their families.

Via funding from the Office of the Provost and the Paideia Program, I was a part of the founding team coordinating a university-wide initiative of themed wellness walks in collaboration with students, staff, and faculty at the Center for Public Health, the Penn Libraries, the Netter Center for Community Partnerships Agatston Urban Nutrition Initiative, Walk With a Future Doc, Penn Athletics, and more.
In this capacity, I served as an advisor to Penn Walks 2 Wellness, a registered student organization whose mission is to support Weekly Themed Wellness Walks by recruiting and retaining student volunteers and maintaining an online presence on social media and via email.
