Less than 700 hours to Go!

I officially have less than 700 hours of service left to complete by mid-July 2014. My adult classes are growing again. Both sections of my Beginner English class are exponentially growing again. I will soon run out of chairs again. We discussed Civics for a couple of days and will go back to the health literacy unit. My GED classes are pretty stable. I know that I am not an expert in GED, but I am hoping that my students will look into the resources that I have encouraged them to use. My evening class students finally showed up for class. We decided to focus this semester on Geometry, Civics, and Job Readiness. There is a long waiting list for the one-on-one tutoring program. It's hard to recruit fellow AmeriCorps members to be tutors, because AmeriCorps members in general are busy people. I have only recruited 2 community members to be adult literacy tutors. Other community members are not so keen on the idea of getting a background check. Overall, I'm not too worried about getting the rest of my hours. This can be easily accomplished.
