Getting My Groove On

One of my AmeriCorps supervisors has observed me teaching twice. Another AmeriCorps supervisor reads my best lesson plans a couple of times a week. Both shared their opinions with me. I'm finally getting my groove on with teaching adults. A number of my lesson plans can now be found on the America Learns database. This is exciting news. I am no longer stressed about work. My routine is solid. Now, I get to mix it up. I have about 100 students in my program. This is wonderful. Lately, I have been helping out with festivals on the weekends. My job is fun. Even though I barely get compensated for my service, I am enjoying it. I have over 600 out of the required 1,725 hours needed for the AmeriCorps Education Award, which I can use for graduate school. I am thinking about either renewing my AmeriCorps contract for next year or getting a Master's Degree in Library and Information Sciences. I really like the library setting. It's so open here.
