In 2019, the American Library Association New Members Round Table (ALA NMRT) recognized me as one of several Alternative Voices in librarianship. As a library & information science lecturer, I introduce future librarians to basic IT skills.
In recent years, I have begun to view literacy and library initiatives through the lens of public health. As a public health professional, I support health professionals and researchers in designing and sharing credible health information, particularly around the latest research and best practices on addressing the long-term health effects of violence, abuse, trauma, and adverse childhood experiences across the life span.
