Personal Leadership Development Plans

Sue Byrd and I will co-present the Personal Leadership Development Plan session at the 2017 American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (AAFCS) Leadership Academy in June 2017 in Dallas, Texas. We will briefly discuss the importance of planning and mention SMARTER goals. Afterwards, participants will start thinking about developing their own Personal Leadership Development Plans. Later in the week, at the AAFCS Annual Conference, each Leadership Academy participant is matched with a mentor, who will help the participants finish developing the plan. During the year following the conference, mentors will check in with participants to keep them on track to meet their goals.
