During Summer 2017, I served as a member of the Remote Consultations Task Force with fellow colleagues at the Biomedical Library. Together, we standardized offering consultations via BlueJeans, a video conferencing system. The task force created a Virtual Consultations LibGuide for the public and a BlueJeans For Librarians LibGuide that contains the task force's recommendations on how librarians consider using BlueJeans. This foresight of exploring a video conferencing system made the transition to fully remote work during the COVID-19 pandemic a lot easier for the STEM Libraries staff.
