For my identity project, I chose to create a scrapbook as a personal expression of who I am. I wanted to explore other aspects of myself my culture, my values, and the people and experiences; especially the internal, emotional and spiritual aspects of myself that have shaped me. Each page of my scrapbook represents a different piece of my identity, using photos, drawings, journal entries, and meaningful quotes. This medium allowed me to be creative while also reflecting deeply on how I see myself and how I’ve been influenced by the world around me.
Reflection
While creating this scrapbook, I went through a wide range of emotions: some pages made me smile, while others brought up memories that were hard to revisit. It wasn’t always easy to decide what parts of myself to include or how to represent them visually, but that challenge helped me grow. One of the biggest learning moments was realizing how much my identity is shaped by both internal values and external expectations. I also learned how powerful it can be to slow down and really think about who I am and what matters to me. In the end, this project became more than just an assignment; it became a personal journey of self-discovery.
