Energy
The ability to do work or cause change.
Motion
If its position changes relative to another object.
Force
A push or pull.
Work
When you exert a force on an object that causes it to change motion.
Is the energy that an object possess by virtue for being in motion.
Energy that results from the postion or the shape of an object.
Light energy, heat energy, mechanical energy, gravitational energy, electrical energy, sound energy, chemical energy, nuclear or atomic energy
The law of conservation of energy states that energy can neither be created nor destroyed - only converted from one form of energy to another.
Transfer of energy from on particle to another within an object or between two objects that are in direct contact.
Heat transfer that occurs through the movement of fluids - solid liquid, gas.
The transfer of energy by electromagnetic waves.
A material that conducts heat well is a conductor, insulators do not conduct heat well.
OVERALL REFLECTION FOR THIS TOPIC
This topic was, in my opinion, a lot of fun to learn about and is probably one of my favorites. In this part of physics, I learned how objects interact, how heat is transmitted between different systems, and how work is done in the process - how each object's energy is functional. This topic helped me better understand what is going on around me, particularly energy and the different sorts of energy that are in action. As I move around my surroundings, I can now distinguish what type of energy is being transferred throughout an action. In conclusion, this unit provided me with a wealth of useful information that I can apply in my daily life.
