The midpoint is a point that's an equal distance from both points and that lies on the line segment connecting the two points. And the distance is found by using the distance formula.
Distance, in terms of geometry, is the distance or length of the starting and stopping points of a particular line segment. We can also think of distance as the hypotenuse of a right triangle, where the legs of the right triangle represent the vertical and horizontal distances between the two points.
The midpoint of a line segment is a point that lies exactly halfway between two points. It is the same distance from each endpoint of the straight line segment.
