This was my first attempt at using 3D data capture through the Polycam app. I used the Object mode to create the model by having my sister start the recording and slowly move the phone around my upper body to get as many angles as possible. On this attempt the lighting was uneven and I blinked a few times, which blurred the details. The result came out rougher, specifically in the front of the body and the facial features.
On my second try, I used the Object mode but this time I had my sister take around 250 pictures of my upper body from every possible angle. I also made sure to keep my eyes open and focused on one area the entire time so that my facial expressions wouldn't be blurred. However, it turned out crazy. It wasn't able to recognize me as the main subject of the model.
On my third try, I went back to my first method and had my sister record my upper body using the Object mode. I, again, focused on keeping my facial expressions very still and not blinking. I also tried to do this scan in better lighting to capture more details. The facial details came out a lot better on this final scan, however, there are still a few holes and distortions in the eye area of the face.
