My work is ever changing and evolving with me, but it is clear I have an attraction to multiple forms of media and how they affect people. What people do with media and how it shapes their values, beliefs, and behaviors is central to me, and it is something I keep in mind constantly when I write and create. My aesthetic also shifts often, but my focus on women and the female experience remains strong. Many of the hardest parts of my life are connected to my place in the world as a woman, and that recognition continues to shape my work.
I have been inspired by women like Taylor Swift my entire life and by the ways their lives are narrativized. I love visuals, photos, and color. Animals are a source of purity and comfort for me, especially those that are misunderstood, like guinea pigs and other rodents. I am drawn to the strange, to questions of meaning, to the act of contextualizing and decontextualizing what it means to exist on this earth as I am.
I love games, books, films, paintings, and photographs, whatever medium can carry the message. As I have grown older, I have come to understand that curating is just as important as creating. I love stylizing and I revel in it, and I do not mind if it appears gauche to some people.
