Bio statement:
I am an aspiring animator and visual artist, who currently resides in Phoenix, Arizona. I am currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in animation at Arizona State University, as well as a bachelor’s degree in criminology and criminal justice.
My work comprises mostly of traditional hand-drawn illustrations, comics, and storyboards exploring the complex concepts of human emotion, ranging from authenticity, beauty, and realism in modern society that they are so often overlooked and deemed uncomfortable. I aim to explore the interchange between light and darkness in human nature through symbolic and literal representations; this usually involves monochrome, moody sceneries and portraits completed in pen and graphite. I want to tell stories consisting of nonconformist antiheroes that are both appealing to my audience and relatable. My creative practices also include computer animation, stop-motion animation, and photo-manipulation on Adobe Photoshop. My illustrated work was featured in the virtual 2021 Peoria Arts and Cultural Festival.
