Jesus Lizarraga is an Arizona-based artist who has formally studied painting and drawing since 2019. Jesus largely works with black and white mediums like charcoal, ink, printmaking, and graphite, with an emphasis being placed on action and narrative-driven pieces. Much of the inspiration for Jesus' works includes manga/comic artists with gritty and messy art styles, such as Q Hayashida, Tsutomu Nihei, and Kei Urana, as well as horror movies like Mad God and Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and heavy metal music. He typically works with themes such as post-apocalyptic environments, cyberpunk aesthetics, and dark comedy. Jesus currently plans on becoming a comic artist as well as a concept artist for games and films.
