Hello my name is Elijah Parker, and I am an undergraduate student in the Digital Culture program at Arizona State University’s Game School with a concentration in Game Design and Film. I am passionate about creating interactive experiences and aspire to design video games while also leading a creative studio team in the future. Alongside game development, I have a strong interest in filmmaking, particularly in sci-fi, action, and comedy genres, where I hope to explore new storytelling methods using Unreal Engine. I am fascinated by how emerging technologies can bridge the gap between gaming and film, opening possibilities for unique adaptations and immersive media. Currently, my capstone project is a side-scrolling detective mystery game created in Unreal Engine, featuring pixel art assets that I designed myself. My academic journey reflects my dedication to both interactive design and cinematic storytelling, with the goal of building a career at the intersection of games and film.

I am a multidisciplinary digital creator drawn to sci-fi, stylized and detailed art, the outdoors, sports, video games, cooking, and film. My work blends these interests into immersive visuals and narratives. On campus, I’m currently exploring game design and interactive media while experimenting with videography, cinematography, and photography—especially inspired by the sports program’s social-media production. I’m equally interested in humanitarian issues that improve the earth and quality of life, which often inform the values behind my projects. In my creative process, I combine both traditional and digital tools, drawing from pixel art, sound design, and motion graphics to build cohesive experiences. If working in a series, I gravitate toward bold, energetic color palettes—greens, blues, purples, reds, oranges, and blacks—arranged in 1980s arcade-style patterns and retro aesthetics. My goal is to create work that engages people visually and emotionally while sparking curiosity and inspiration. Some of my hobbies include spending time with family, cooking, nature, game design, lifting and sports.
