The collaboration research I have partnered up with Khoi Nguyen and Siraj Soliman
The Research we came across were the different types of flutes that have been made throughout the years, and We decided as a group to create a 3D model of a Double Native American Flute.
Each person was given a part of the flute to create in a 3D software they were comfortable with.
The series of images is our documented process of creating each piece of the Flute.
Siraj Soliman was in charge of creating the mouthpiece. Here is an image of the official design reference used.
Khoi was in charge of creating the main body of the flute
I was in charge of the bottom piece of the Flute
Each part of the Flute when finalized has been set the MakerSpace to get 3D printed to be a physical object that we are able to piece together, but the bottom part of the Flute had many problems with the splicing that when it finally got fixed we are unable to have it printed on time before the end of semester.
Here are a couple images of the problems with splicing the bottom piece
