The Randy - Randie 

A bathroom on the playing field was a decades old wish of Art Shop directors and Water Front staff.   With the addition of a septic pump at the Art Shop we were able to make dreams come true.

Story of the The Randy aka(The Randi)

With the new septic system and leach field we added a Grinder Pump at the Art Shop.  This pump takes solid waste and grinds it up and sends it UP THE HILL to septic tanks by Gilman!  This allowed a bathroom on the field so we moved to quickly make it a reality.   Devin Hollands and committee planned it out and picked the location.  When the area was dug up for the foundation an old Gas tank was discovered.  This tank was used by the old owners to power the generated that was in the pumphouse.   Before industrial power arrived the camp could run off the generator in the pumphouse.

  Devin recruited two builders to do the framing and plumbing layout - Randy Jennings of Schenectady and Randi McDonald of Rochester.  Devin told them to build it anyway the could come up with.  They found the old windows  and came up with their own design on the spot.  

   Devin, Chuck and Renna mixed and poured the cement floor covering over the pipes everyone helped get into place.   Three names are struck in the cement under the sink for Shayne and Jordan Hollands and Amelia Komisar-Bury.

The little shack has now served 3 decades of staff and campers saving many runs up the hill.
