This is the kitchen we had until the expansion in 1995 and then the kitchen renovation under Nat Shed
To offer more seating in the dining hall Marc Guillaume dreamed up expanding the Kitchen and Dining all in the Gilman building. Marc planned it and got the board funding and with a very small crew of staff persons they pulled off this great project. Without the expanded seating this project allowed the camp would not be financially where it is today. Dan Gottfried spearheaded the project from the Administrative side.
The original stage was 'dropped' down to make new floor. The back wall was OPENED up to allow the trees to come in during meals. Contractor Ed Lyndacker from Croghan did the work. (he also built Leining, Chadwick renovation with our staff, and the Pavillion.)
Black paint on stage floor can be seen in the photo prior to floor sanding.
