Virtual Evening Program!
Queer Eye Comes to Camp!
Our incredible Program Staff are working hard to design an interactive Unirondack Evening Program that will be organized using the platform gather.town which will allow campers to create a character to roam around a virtual map to meet with staff in different stations and join in to activities and challenges. Queer Eye will take over Unirondack for the evening, providing us with stations for Culture, Beauty, Fashion, Home, and Cooking… And as always we have some unexpected Unirondack twists planned.
Thursday, February 4 at 8pm
The cost is a sliding scale of $4-$12. Pay what you are able and reach out if cost is prohibitive! These fees will cover program costs and staffing.RE!

Hi again:
We've got lots of news and some of it, we hope, will spur you to action.....
An opportunity to introduce new campers to Unirondack:
For the first time in recent memory, there is space in the following sessions as the summer is set to begin:
Channing 1 & 2 (for ages 16-18)
Ballou 1 & 2 (for ages 12-14)
This is a rare opportunity to introduce new campers to Unirondack.
Please take this opportunity to reach out to your friends and congregations to let them know what Unirondack has meant to you and to encourage them to come to camp!
Help a camper come to Unirondack this summer:
Donate to our Campership Drive!
Because so much of our energy had to be devoted to raising money for major capital projects like the dishwasher replacement and the boathouse renovation, we have experienced a significant drop in donations to our Campership Drive. Many people depend on the financial assistance of camperships to attend Unirondack and we meet their needs regardless of whether or not we have the funds at the time (because nothing is more important to us than children and families being able to come to camp).
As of today we have provided $7,685 in camperships and raised $2,778.
Please give today to help us help those in need: http://www.formstack.com/forms/Unirondack-Campership_Donations_form
News about some exciting improvements to camp:
The Stevens outdoor pavilion has been repainted and stained and looks incredible!
The Hollands Boathouse will be completed by the summer and will feature a roof over the water with boat launches - a photo of Shayne Hollands getting ready to put in one of the docks is attached to this email.
All of Sweet has been repainted. New ceramic tile floors have been installed in the lower Sweet bathrooms.
The newly formed Unitarian Universalist Alliance of Camp and Conference Centers (UUACCC) is going to be represented at GA next week by Dan and Loraine.
Our first ever Young Adult Weekend, co-sponsored by the UU Congregation of Binghamton, was a huge success, with over 50 people (ages 18-30) attending.
Our QSA Weekend in May has continued to grow and to provide a remarkable space for sharing.
And the most exciting news of all:
Two NEW Mon-Fri camp programs for ADULTS this summer:
Women's Week: August 24 -28
and
Outdoor Adventure Week: August 31-Sept 4
Both are being offered at the special introductory rate of $350.
Register today and join us for these exciting new opportunities for fellowship.
That's all for now. See you at camp!
Warm regards,
Dan and Kris and Elizabeth and Loraine and all the folks who work together to make our community thrive!
