Waffle Wagon, Inc.

Waffle Wagon, Inc. is a restaurant chain formerly based out of Voskgardia and now headquartered in Mitannia. Specializing in waffles, ice cream cones, and milkshakes, Waffle Wagon is credited with creating a revolutionary new type of restaurant now known as “Fast Food”. Utilizing an array of electricity powered waffle irons and freezers, Waffle Wagon is capable of producing comfort food at more than twice the speed of similar restaurants. The company primarily markets to travelers who can purchase their food to eat on the go. 

Originally founded in 2911 of the Second Age in Voskgardia, the company began selling waffles to early morning commuters at a train station. While all of the original restaurants are believed to have been destroyed during the War of the Dawn, the founder of Waffle Wagon managed to escape to Mitannia as part of the Voskgardian navy. Here he would reopen the restaurant in the port city of Marechal. 

Waffle Wagon soon achieved rapid growth when it added ice cream covered waffles to the menu, a smash hit in the sweltering desert climate. In order to carry around the ice cream while on the go, Waffle Wagon invented the first ice cream cone using its waffles. Today Waffle Wagon is one of the most successful restaurants in the world, having spread throughout Mitannia and even into nearby countries.

Waffle Wagon was founded in the Voskgardian city of Dolinka in 2911SA. The company first began when a young Losian immigrant named Zol Ervin began selling waffles from an old dining boxcar at a local train station. The restaurant soon became popular with commuters looking for a quick bite to eat and began to expand to other Voskgardian cities. 

When the War of the Dawn began Zol Ervin volunteered to join the Voskgardian Navy. While all of the original Waffle Wagon locations are believed to have been destroyed over the course of the war, Zol Ervin managed to escape alongside the rest of the surviving fleet to Mitannia. 

Eventually retiring from the military Ervin would once again attempt to open up his restaurant, this time out of an abandoned building in the Mitannian city of Port Marechal. At first the new restaurant would struggle, and Zol Ervin would nearly go bankrupt. However a last minute change to the menu would soon launch the company to fame. 

Waffle Wagon began to serve ice cream covered waffles. While initially believed by Ervin to be a cheap novelty, it quickly proved popular in the hot desert climate. Rapidly becoming the top selling item, Ervin decided he needed to find a way for ice cream to fit into the restaurant's fast food business model. 

The solution was to wrap up the waffles into a cone shape and put the ice cream inside, thereby creating the world's first ice cream cone. Business soon took off. Waffle Wagon became so successful that the initial restaurant became overcrowded. Soon more restaurants of the Waffles Wagon brand began popping up in locations throughout Mitannia.
