The Calendars

The Siblings Calendar is a system of reckoning time used primarily by the shorter-lived races of Tyrrell. It is divided into three Ages that mark significant events in the history of the world. Each Age has a varried number of years with each year being 360 days long with 12 months of 30 days each. The names of the days and months are so rooted in Elderkin cultural bleed that they are also used in the Singing calendar.

On the other hand there is the "Elderdated" or "Singing Calendar", which is used by the longer living races of Tyrrell. It is divided into only Two Ages due to Elderkin not recognizing the Change of the Third Age with the War of The Dawn. None the less they use the same number of days and months per year.

The Siblings Calendar

Tyrrell's calendar is a celestial dance, orchestrated by the movements of both the moon and the gas giant "Sister". Here's an overview of the key components:

Tyrrell's Orbit:

Orbit Duration: Tyrrell completes one orbit around Sister every 30 days. each day is 24 hours.

Sister's Orbit: Sister, the gas giant, completes its orbit around the sun every 4 years (1,440 days), influencing the overall seasonal changes on Tyrrell.

Calendar Structure:

Year Length: A Tyrrell year consists of 360 days. And a Solar rotation is around 4 years long.

Months: There are 12 months in a year, each lasting for 30 days.

Tyrrell orbits Sister, a gas giant, influencing the planet's seasons and climate.

Sister's gravitational pull causes tidal effects on Tyrrell, influencing ocean currents and affecting weather patterns.

Sister's own orbit around the sun introduces long-term climate variations which can somewhat be divided in four uniqe patterns called Quads, creating distinct seasons and climatic shifts on Tyrrell.

The Months

Aspect Additions: Each of the quad Years is associated with an aspect based on the current solar quad (Roaring, Tranquil, Veiled, Revealed).

Aspect Themes:

Roaring Aspect: During the Roaring aspect, the seasons might be more turbulent and dynamic, marked by intense weather patterns and energetic natural phenomena. Tyrrell Is closer to its sun.

Tranquil Aspect: The Tranquil aspect signifies calmer seasons, with more predictable weather. Tyrrell is in the optimal distance from the sun.

Veiled Aspect: In the Veiled aspect, Sister reflects alot of the suns light towards Tyrrell. Giving Brighter Nights yet hides the stars.

Revealed Aspect: The Revealed aspect is when Tyrrell and sister is furthest away from the Sun making days and nights darker but the shine of the star sky is enhanced

Each month retains its original name but the aspect is added to it as a prefix.

The names of the days might be different depending on cultures and regions but the 12 cycles are mostly the same across the planet.
