Kottur

The Kottur (also known as Rak’sang in the Krita Kundalika language) is a beastkin race of feline humanoids with catlike legs, light fur, sharp clawed hands, and a feline head with wide ears. Males often have large manes on their heads while females don't. The Kottur are one of the more common species of beastkin found throughout Tyrrell. They are believed to have arose to prominence in northern Parthus around savannah regions, desert oasis', and river banks. Since then they have migrated to southern Ciradon during the First Age by boat.  

The Kottur have developed a small number of independent nations, mostly centered around hot equatorial regions between Ciradon and Parthus. They were one of the first Lesserkin races to develop civilized countries, which earned them the respect of many early Elderkin societies. However the Kottur were badly affected by the Gate Wars, especially the Ninth Gate War which saw many Kottur unwillingly transformed into a monstrous mutant subspecies known as the felenids. As such they were never able to rise to the level of prominence as mankind.
