The Tir-Fly is a non-fieldic incect famous for living in the acadic marshes and swamps of the River Tiir. They are often on the bottom of the food chain, allowing the variety of seasonal birds that visit the Tir to have ample food for their mating season. The fly is known to eat nearly anything. A favorite is rotten food, dung and corpses. In dwarven corespeak, Tir means ember/burning which is why the fly is named so. The flie's bite leaves a burning irritated sting that often spread decease.
It is said that the Tir-Fly is one of the few creatures that even elderkin would allow to go extinct, something many Voskgardian pesticide producers have tried to do with little luck. The fly has a slight greenish hue, red eyes, loud flapping wings and a fat bulbous body. The head has two proboscis, one for food and one to deliver a enzyme that helps it break down food. The Voskgardian military commanders, claim that the Tiir-fly is one of the sources of inspiration for Voskgardian arial tactics and aeroplane designs.
