Week 6/8 - Rigging and skinning
SHINDY LEONG
SHINDY LEONG
Rigging is the setting of the skeleton and controls, whilst skinning binds the mesh together. Joints are connected by bones, it visually represent how the joints are connected together in hierarchy. The hierarchy joins together all the bones and joints into one skeleton, the HIP joints controls everything such as being able to rotate and move.
There are IK and FK, IK (inverse kinematics) IK work independently and good for sticking feet on the ground. Or the IK could be the child, effect the movement of its parent. and FK is the parent moving the child. Each node represent a controller, it can be switched from FK and IK which is called HumanIK. Human IK have all names ready in the hierarchy, this it the rigging I will be using for this brief.
