For today's concept workshop we did sketching and blockouts. Blockout is used as a base to create your own unique sketch, the blockouts allows you to get different perspectives and save time. Tracing is considered as a myth of cheating, because you're copying someone's work and assume it's yours. Even though, referencing wouldn't be assumed as cheating. When it comes to concept art tracing it's used as an advantage, there can be a few areas that are blocked out which allows the concept artist to work to the limitations.
