SHINDY LEONG
The primary colours overlaps over each other and creates a white light. (left image)
In 1672 Isaac Newton's did a prism experiment and published his understanding of the rainbow. He refracted white light with a prism and this resolved the colours red, orange, yellow, green, blue and violet. [2] Isaac's useful idea was the colour wheel, this could consist of additive effect (mix colour together) as example. Our eyes can pick up the the primary colours through colour receptors.
Monochromatic is the different hues (colour property) in one colour, shades and tints.
Analogous are the colours next to each other in the colour wheel.
Complementary are the colours on the opposite side of the colour wheel.
Monochromatic
Colours in game can be useful to set the tones of the game, the game inside could be an example. Inside consist of grey/blue hues that is monochromatic hues, there is different shades, tints in one colour.
The left image sets the atmosphere of the game and communicates the emotion, in this image we might assume he looks sad. However, looking at the player's surrounding makes the viewer analyse the setting more and might give a different kind of feeling. The light shining on the player helps to signpost paths or items important to the player. Also, the red shirt the player is wearing gives the player an understanding that's the main character and draws the attention.
