3 . Term of Office

The Woodlandia prime minister serves at His/Her Royal Highness's pleasure, meaning the post does not have a fixed term. Once appointed and sworn in by the prince or princess, the prime minister remains in office until he or she resigns, is dismissed, or dies. The lifespan of parliament is limited by the constitution for life.

4 . Titles, Styles, Honours and Arms

Woodlandia prime ministers are styled as The Right Honourable, a privilege maintained for life. Former prime ministers retain the prefix the Right Honourable for the remainder of their lives. Parliament continues the tradition of using the title Prime Minister when one is speaking to the head of government directly; the Royal Woodlandia Historical Society advises that it is incorrect to use the term Mr./Madame Prime Minister. The written form of address for the prime minister should use his or her full parliamentary title: The Right Honourable [name], [post-nominal letters], Prime Minister of Woodlandia. However, while in government, other members of parliament may address the prime minister as the Right Honourable Prime Minister.

In Woodlandia it is often considered traditional for the monarch to bestow a knighthood on newly-appointed Woodlandia prime ministers. Accordingly, after the honour of knighthood is bestowed, Woodlandia prime ministers carry the prefix Sir before their name.

Flags

The flag of the prime minister of Woodlandia is a flag used as a symbol to mark the presence of the prime minister of Woodlandia. Such a flag has been used by prime ministers of Woodlandia since 2019, when the current flag was adopted.

The flag is flown from the prime minister's official residence—Wallace government house—and any other building the prime minister is visiting. It may also be flown from any vehicle being used by the prime minister. On overseas visits, the National Flag can be used to identify the prime minister.

The flag takes precedence over the National Flag and the personal standards of any member of the Royal Family other than the sovereign, but not ahead of the Royal Standard or the flag of a senior government official at a function hosted by that senior government official.

Lapel Pins

Lapel pins depicting the Woodlandia national flag are gifted to senior members of the Woodlandia government, including, but not limited to the Prime Minister, and his/her Ministers.

As part of a symbol of government power and leadership, the lapel pins are required to be worn while carrying out official Principality of Woodlandia government duties. The pins are not available to non members of the Woodlandia government.
