History

Woodlandia Cardboard Wars or "Box Wars" was officially proclaimed a Woodlandia National sport by the Sovereign HRH Prince Shawn on December 26, 2019, known as "Boxing Day" in some areas of the world.

The idea for the sport occurred to the Prince during the (Christmas) holiday season after the royal family exchange and opening of gifts to each other. In search of a national sport for the Principality of Woodlandia and after realizing how much trash, particularly cardboard and boxes were left over from their gift packaging, HRH Prince Shawn decided to create a sport that involved the use of recycled cardboard to minimize the amount of recycled material still ending up in landfills.

2. National Summer Sport

Woodlandia Cardboard Wars or "Box Wars" was officially proclaimed the National Summer sport by the Sovereign HRH Prince Shawn on the same day as it's proclamation as an official sport of Woodlandia on December 26, 2019, known as "Boxing Day" in some areas of the world.

Since it's proclamation as a National Summer Sport of Woodlandia, the National Sport Federation (WNSF) ensures and oversees the rules and regulations pertaining to activities of Cardboard Wars.
