National Sport of Woodlandia

Woodlandia aims to become a leading sport nation. How sport is practiced in Woodlandia today is influenced by a number of factors, including our four seasons, and our geographic and social diversity.

Our sport system allows Woodlandia citizens from across the globe to get involved in sport activities at all levels and in all forms of participation. From childhood to adulthood, sport is part of a healthy, active lifestyle in Woodlandia.

Cardboard Wars, our national summer sport has been played since 2019. Today, cardboard wars are the most popular sport among Woodlandia citizens. Re-Treeve has been our de facto summer sport since 2020, while Cycle Ball has been our de facto summer sport since 2021.

Snow Challenge, our national winter sport, was invented in 2019 to condition young athletes during the winter.

2. National Summer Sport

The Principality of Woodlandia has one official national summer sport, Cardboard Wars, and two national de facto summer sports, Cycle Ball and Re-Treeve.

Cardboard Wars

Cardboard Wars, our national summer sport has been played since 2019 and is the Principality of Woodlandia's oldest sport. Today, cardboard wars is the most popular sport among Woodlandia citizens.

Re-Treeve

Re-Treeve has been our de facto summer sport since 2020.

Cycle Ball

Cycle Ball has been our de facto summer sport since 2021.

3. National Winter Sport

The Principality of Woodlandia has one official national winter sport, Snow Challenge.

Snow Challenge

Snow Challenge, our national winter sport, was invented in 2019 to condition young athletes during the winter.

4. Olympics

As of 2021, no official sports team of Woodlandia have participated in the Olympics. However, the Principality of Woodlandia is extremely interested in participating in future Olympic events.

MicroOlympics

On 5 February 2022, the Principality of Woodlandia participated in the MicroOlympics Winter 2022, a fantasy league based on guessing the top countries to win the most medals in the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics based on a points system. The nation that scores the most points when the Olympics have finished, wins a medal for their micronation.

2022 - Including the Principality of Woodlandia, the 2022 competition consisted of 12 competitors. During the first round of medals awarded, Woodlandia had ended up in the 3rd spot for a Bronze medal.

The Principality of Woodlandia ranked in second place after the fourth rounds of medals were awarded.

  • As of 2021, the official sports teams of Woodlandia have not yet participated in the Olympics.

  • Woodlandia Cardboard Wars has been the official national summer sport of the Principality of Woodlandia since 2019.
