1. History

The national colours of Woodlandia were declared by HRH Prince Shawn in 2019 to be red, white, blue, and green and are most prominently evident on the country's national flag. The colours have been in use since.

Red, White, Blue, Green - Woodlandia's National Colours

The four solid colours of the National Flag has been a recognizable and important symbol for Woodlandia since its adoption. The complimentary colours are used to symbolize Woodlandia, the land and its people, and to honour its host country.

Red is symbolic of England, and white of France, the colours having been used in the past by Woodlandia's mother nation, Canada in their national flag. The Blue is symbolic of the lakes and waterways, while Green represents the lush green forests. Collectively, these four colours make up the national flag of the Principality of Woodlandia.

National De Facto Flag

Red and White – Two of Woodlandia’s National Colours

The colours of the National De Facto Flag, red and white, are a recognizable and historic symbol for Woodlandia since its adoption. The striking colours are used to symbolize Woodlandia, the land and its people, and to honour its host country Canada, which uses the same colours for its National Flags. Currently, the Red and White are often used as symbol of Woodlandia heritage. After an official National flag was chosen, the two colours, Red and White remain two of the national colours of Woodlandia, along with two others, blue and green.
