WOODLANDIA LAWS CONCERNING CANNABIS

In the name of freedom, the Principality of Woodlandia has adopted laws regarding the use of Cannabis, known as Woodlandia Cannabis Act. The Woodlandia Cannabis Act regulates the production, possession, distribution and sale of cannabis in the Principality of Woodlandia.

The objectives of the Act are to prevent youth access to cannabis, protect public health and safety, and reduce criminal activity and the burden on the Woodlandia criminal justice system. These laws are consistent throughout Woodlandia and its territories and dominions. In some cases foreign law may interfere with it.

Transportation

Adults may carry up to 30 grams (1oz) of dried or equivalent of non-dried form cannabis in public. The transportation of more than 30 grams (1oz) of cannabis is prohibited and restricted to Woodlandia licensed businesses only.

Carrying cannabis across international borders remains heavily punishable under Woodlandia law.

Possession

Adults 19 and over may possess the legal amount of cannabis providing it's for their own use. Minors between the ages of 12-18 who possess less than five grams of cannabis may be given a Borough Offence Ticket of $100. If caught with more than five grams the youth may be charged under the Woodlandia Criminal Youth Justice Act. However, in order to avoid the consequence of a permanent criminal record youth may be allowed to complete the Criminal Youth Diversion Program.

Sale

Woodlandia bans the sale of recreational marijuana to anyone under the age of 19 (the same age that one can legally purchase alcohol or tobacco). Citizens are not permitted to sell cannabis unless through a licensed Woodlandia business.

Only Woodlandia licensed businesses are allowed to sell cannabis in Woodlandia. There are a few general rules regarding promotion, packaging, and advertising. Adult-use cannabis may only be sold in packages of a single color without graphics other than the logo and a health warning. Cannabis companies in Woodlandia are not allowed to sponsor people or events, promote themselves through TV commercials, billboards, glossy magazine ads, or put their name on sports and cultural facilities.

Consumption

Anyone of legal age is free to consume any amount of cannabis. Homemade food, drink, and edibles involving cannabis are legal for consumption as long as organic solvents are not used to create concentrated products. Vaping and smoking the product in public is permitted wherever tobacco may be smoked, and subject to the same restrictions as tobacco.

Cultivation

Personal cultivation of cannabis is legal in Woodlandia with licensed seed or seedlings. Home growing is permitted, with up to four plants per household. Commercial cultivation of cannabis is prohibited and restricted to only Woodlandia licensed businesses.
