Prescription Tracker ("the App") helps users manage prescriptions, medicines, dose reminders, health metrics, and doctor information for themselves and their family members. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide
- Family member profiles: Names, relationships, dates of birth, blood types, allergies, and photos
- Doctor information: Names, specializations, clinic names, phone numbers, and addresses
- Prescription data: Diagnoses, dates, prescription photos, and doctor associations
- Medicine details: Names, dosages, frequencies, durations, costs, and instructions
- Health metrics: Blood pressure readings, blood sugar levels, and weight measurements
- Doctor visit records: Visit dates, reasons, costs, and follow-up dates
- Dose logs: Medication adherence records (taken, skipped, missed status)
- Contact form messages: Subject, category, and message content (sent via your email client)
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Crash reports: App crash logs and error diagnostics via Firebase Crashlytics (includes device model, OS version, and stack traces — no personal health data)
- Analytics: Anonymous app usage patterns via Firebase Analytics (screen views, feature usage, session data)

3. How We Use Your Information
- Core functionality: Store and display your prescriptions, medicines, health metrics, and dose schedules
- Reminders: Send timely medication reminders based on your schedules
- Cloud backup (optional): Sync your data to Firebase Firestore when you sign in with Google
- Analytics: Understand app usage to improve features and fix issues
- Advertising: Display relevant ads to support free app access (removable via Premium subscription)
4. Data Storage & Security
4.1 Local Storage
All your health and personal data is stored locally on your device in an encrypted SQLite database. The App works fully offline without any internet connection.
4.2 Cloud Backup (Optional)
If you choose to sign in with Google and use Cloud Backup:
- Your data is stored in Google Firebase Firestore, isolated under your unique user ID
- Data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections
- Prescription and family member photos are stored in Firebase Storage
- You can delete your cloud data at any time from Settings
4.3 Data We Do NOT Store on Servers
- We do not maintain our own servers or databases
- We do not have access to your health data unless you explicitly send it via the Contact Us form
- Cloud backup data is stored in your Firebase account space, accessible only by you

6. Health Data
The App processes sensitive health-related information including blood pressure, blood sugar, weight, medications, and allergies. This data:
- Is stored locally on your device by default
- Is never shared with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes
- Is never sold to any entity
- Is only uploaded to cloud if you explicitly enable Cloud Backup
- Is not included in crash reports or analytics data
7. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us to have it removed.
8. Advertising & Consent (GDPR/EEA)
- The App uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to collect ad consent from users in the European Economic Area (EEA)
- You can manage your ad preferences through the consent dialog
- Premium subscribers see no advertisements
- Non-personalized ads are shown when consent is not granted
9. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access all your data at any time within the App
- Export your data (the App does not restrict data access)
- Delete all local data by clearing app data or uninstalling
- Delete cloud data from Settings > Cloud Backup
- Opt out of analytics by disabling usage tracking in your device settings
- Withdraw ad consent at any time via the App's consent dialog
10. Data Retention
- Local data: Retained until you delete it or uninstall the App
- Cloud backup data: Retained until you delete it from Settings or delete your Google account
- Crash reports: Retained by Firebase Crashlytics for 90 days
- Analytics data: Retained by Firebase Analytics per Google's retention policies
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
