**Effective Date:** June 24, 2026

## 1. Introduction
Kidney Stone Tracker ("we", "our", "the app") is an offline, informational health-logging app that helps you track hydration, dietary oxalate intake, urine pH readings, and your kidney-stone history. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our mobile application.
By using Kidney Stone Tracker, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
**Privacy by design:** Kidney Stone Tracker does not require an account, does not sign you in, and does not sync your data to any server. All of the health information you enter stays on your device.
## 2. Information We Collect
### 2.1 Information You Provide (stored only on your device)
You may enter the following information, which is saved locally in an on-device database and is never transmitted to us or to any third party:
- **Hydration logs** — water/fluid amounts and timestamps
- **Dietary oxalate logs** — foods you select from the built-in database, serving sizes, and oxalate totals
- **Urine pH readings** — pH values you record and their dates
- **Kidney-stone episodes** — date, side, stone composition, pain level, treatment, and any notes you add
- **App preferences** — daily water goal, fluid unit (ml/oz), pH target band, reminder settings, and theme
We do **not** collect your name, email address, phone number, date of birth, or any account identifier. The app has no login.
### 2.2 Information Collected Automatically
We do not operate our own analytics or crash-reporting servers, and the app contains no Firebase Analytics or Crashlytics. However, the third-party advertising service we use (Google AdMob) may automatically collect:
- **Advertising identifier** (Android Advertising ID)
- **Approximate (coarse) location** — inferred by the ad SDK, typically from your IP address; the app itself does **not** request or use any device location permission
- **Ad interaction and general device data** used to serve and measure advertisements
### 2.3 Information from Third-Party Services
The app does not use Google Sign-In or any social login, so no profile data (email, name, photo) is collected from third-party sign-in providers.
## 3. How We Use Your Information
We use information to:
- Provide core app functionality — hydration tracking, oxalate budgeting, urine pH trends, and stone-episode history (all processed locally on your device)
- Generate on-device charts and a doctor-ready PDF summary that you choose to export and share
- Send optional hydration reminder notifications that you enable
- Display advertisements to users on the free tier (via Google AdMob)
- Process one-time Premium purchases (via Google Play Billing)
Your health logs are used **only** to power features inside the app on your device. They are never sent to us and are never used for advertising.
## 4. Data Storage and Security
### 4.1 Local Storage
- All your data (hydration, food, urine pH, stone episodes, and preferences) is stored locally on your device in a private app database (Room) and in local app preferences.
- Exported PDF summaries are written to the app's private storage and shared only when you explicitly choose to share them.
- Because data is stored on-device and is not synced, it is only as secure as your device. We recommend using a device lock screen.
### 4.2 Cloud Storage
- Kidney Stone Tracker does **not** use cloud storage, cloud backup, or server-side sync. There is no user account and no remote copy of your health data.
### 4.3 Security Measures
- Any network communication made by third-party SDKs (advertising, billing) uses HTTPS/TLS encryption.
- Premium purchases are handled entirely by Google Play Billing; we never see or store your payment details.
## 5. Data Sharing
### 5.1 We Do NOT Sell Your Data
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We have no access to your health logs and therefore cannot share them.
### 5.2 Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services, which may collect limited data as described:
