# Privacy Policy for Kidney eGFR Tracker
**Effective Date:** June 23, 2026
**Developer:** Mobilia Apps
**Contact:** muhammadilyas15@gmail.com
## 1. Introduction
Kidney eGFR Tracker ("we", "our", "the app") is a personal, offline kidney-health log for people living with chronic kidney disease (CKD) and those who care for them. The app lets you record lab results, **computes an estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR)** from the values you enter using the published CKD-EPI 2021 creatinine equation, and displays your result alongside published KDIGO reference ranges. It also helps you log dialysis sessions, medications, blood pressure, weight, fluid intake, renal-diet/potassium intake, and transplant-workup notes, and lets you export a report for your nephrologist.
This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our mobile application. By using Kidney eGFR Tracker, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
**In short: Kidney eGFR Tracker is an offline app. Everything you enter stays on your device. We do not have accounts, we do not run a cloud backup, and we never receive or store your health data on any server.**
## 2. Information We Collect
### 2.1 Information You Provide
All of the following is entered by you and stored only on your device. We (the developer) never receive it.
- **Lab results** — serum creatinine and other lab values, and the eGFR computed from them
- **Profile values used for the eGFR calculation** — age/date of birth and biological sex (required by the CKD-EPI 2021 equation)
- **Dialysis records** — session logs and recurring dialysis schedules
- **Medications** — medication names, dosages, schedules, and adherence (taken/missed) logs
- **Vitals** — blood pressure, weight, and fluid-intake entries
- **Diet** — renal-diet entries, foods, and potassium/nutrient intake
- **Transplant status** — transplant-workup notes (premium feature)
- **Reminder preferences** — which reminders you enable and at what times
### 2.2 Information Collected Automatically
Kidney eGFR Tracker itself does not collect analytics, usage statistics, or device identifiers. The only automatic data collection comes from the Google AdMob advertising SDK on the free tier:
- **Advertising identifier and ad-interaction data** — used by Google AdMob to serve and measure ads (free tier only). See Section 5.
- The app does **not** include Firebase Analytics or Crashlytics, and does **not** collect crash logs or usage events.
### 2.3 Information from Third-Party Services
Kidney eGFR Tracker has **no sign-in or account system**. We do not use Google Sign-In, Firebase Auth, or any other identity provider, so we do not receive your email, name, or profile photo from any third party.
## 3. How We Use Your Information
Because your data never leaves your device, "use" means the app processing it locally to:
- Store and display your lab, dialysis, medication, vitals, diet, and transplant entries
- **Compute an estimated eGFR** from the creatinine, age, and sex you enter (CKD-EPI 2021 equation) and classify it into a KDIGO CKD stage (G1–G5) for display only
- Show your eGFR/creatinine trend and decline slope over time
- Generate the PDF and CSV reports you choose to export
- Send the local reminders you enable (medications, lab cadence, dialysis, blood pressure, fluid)
- Display advertisements on the free tier and process a one-time premium purchase
We do **not** use your health data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than the on-device features above.
## 4. Data Storage and Security
### 4.1 Local Storage
- All your entries are stored locally on your device in a private app database (Android Room / SQLite) and in app preferences.
- This data is held in the app's private storage area, which other apps cannot access.
- We (the developer) have no access to this data and no copy of it.
### 4.2 No Cloud Storage or Accounts
- Kidney eGFR Tracker is **offline-only**. There is no account, no login, and no cloud backup or sync in this version.
- Your health data is never transmitted to our servers (we operate none) or to any third party for storage.
### 4.3 Exports You Initiate
- You can export your data as a **PDF (nephrologist report) or CSV** file. Reports carry a "Personal log — not a medical record" footer.
- Exports are generated on your device. When you tap share, Android's share sheet lets **you** choose where the file goes (email, messaging, cloud drive, etc.). What happens after you share it is governed by the app you send it to, not by us.
### 4.4 Security Measures
- Your data resides in the app's private, sandboxed storage on your device.
- The app's only network use is loading advertisements (free tier) and the Google Play in-app purchase flow, both over encrypted HTTPS/TLS connections managed by Google.
- Because there is no account and no cloud copy, there is no server-side database of your information to be breached.
## 5. Data Sharing
### 5.1 We Do NOT Sell Your Data
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal or health information to anyone. We never receive your health data in the first place.
### 5.2 Third-Party Services
The app integrates the following Google services:
| Service | Purpose | Data Accessed | Privacy Policy |
|---------|---------|--------------|----------------|
| Google AdMob | Advertising (free tier) | Advertising identifier, ad interactions, approximate location derived from IP | [Google Privacy Policy](https://policies.google.com/privacy) |
| Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) | Ad-consent management (GDPR/UMP) | Consent choices | [Google Privacy Policy](https://policies.google.com/privacy) |
| Google Play Billing | One-time premium purchase | Purchase status / token | [Google Privacy Policy](https://policies.google.com/privacy) |
These services do not receive any of the health data you enter. Your lab values, eGFR results, dialysis logs, medications, and other entries are never shared with advertisers, billing, or any partner.
### 5.3 Ad Personalization
- Free-tier users see advertisements served by Google AdMob, which may use advertising identifiers and ad-interaction data.
- On first launch the app uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request your consent for personalized advertising where required (e.g., in the EEA/UK).
- You can opt out of personalized ads at any time via your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads).
- **Premium users see no advertisements**, and no advertising data is collected for them.
## 6. Health Data
### 6.1 Health Information
Kidney eGFR Tracker is a health app and stores health-related information you enter, including lab/creatinine values and computed eGFR, dialysis sessions, medications, blood pressure, weight, fluid intake, renal-diet/potassium data, and transplant-workup notes.
### 6.2 Health Data Protection
- All health data is stored **locally on your device only**. It is never uploaded to our servers (we have none) and never synced to any cloud account.
- Health data is **never** shared with advertisers, the billing service, or any marketing partner, and is **never** used for advertising.
- The only way your health data leaves the device is through an export **you** explicitly create and share.
### 6.3 Medical Disclaimer
Kidney eGFR Tracker is a **personal log and educational organizer — not a medical device, not a diagnostic tool, and not a source of medical advice.** The eGFR it shows is simply the published CKD-EPI 2021 equation applied to the creatinine, age, and sex you enter, displayed against published KDIGO reference ranges for your information only. The app does **not** diagnose, treat, cure, prevent, or monitor any disease, and it does **not** interpret your results or tell you what to do. CKD stage labels are reference classifications, not a diagnosis. Always consult your nephrologist or other qualified healthcare provider for any medical decision. Never disregard professional medical advice because of something shown in this app.
## 7. Children's Privacy
Kidney eGFR Tracker is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Because all data stays on the device and there are no accounts, we hold no such information. If you believe a child has entered data, simply delete it in the app or uninstall the app.
## 8. Your Rights and Choices
### 8.1 Access and Control
- You can view, edit, or delete any entry you have created, at any time, directly in the app.
- You can export your full data as PDF or CSV for your own records or to share with your care team.
### 8.2 Data Deletion
- Delete individual entries within the app, or uninstall the app to permanently remove **all** locally stored data.
- Because there is no cloud copy and no account, uninstalling fully erases your data — there is nothing for us to delete on a server.
### 8.3 Notifications
- Reminders are optional. You can enable or disable each reminder in the app, and you can revoke notification permission at any time in your device settings.
### 8.4 Ad Preferences
- Purchasing premium removes all advertisements.
- You can opt out of personalized ads via device settings (Settings → Google → Ads), and you can revisit your consent choice through the app where applicable.
## 9. GDPR Compliance (European Users)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK, you retain full control over your data because it never leaves your device. You can access, correct, export, or erase it yourself at any time within the app. For advertising, the app uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to obtain your consent in line with GDPR and Google's requirements. As we do not collect or hold any of your data on our side, requests to access or erase server-side data are not applicable; if you have any question, contact us at muhammadilyas15@gmail.com.
## 10. Data Retention
- Your data is retained on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app. We retain nothing, because we receive nothing.
- Advertising and purchase data handled by Google are retained per Google's own policies, linked above.
## 11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Effective Date" above and posting the revised policy at its public URL. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
